The Forum on Contemporary China and World 2019 kicked off in Beijing on May 16, as part of the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations. Sponsored by China International Publishing Group (CIPG), the forum was organized by the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies (ACCWS).

Centered on the theme of “Sharing Wisdom of Civilizations to Build a Beautiful Asia,” participants exchanged views on how to use Asian wisdom to promote political advancement, benefit the people and build an Asian community with a shared future.

Du Zhanyuan, president of CIPG, pointed out in his speech at the closing ceremony of the forum that the active participation of guests in the forum fully showcases the goodwill of the Asian people to promote cultural exchange, mutual learning and peaceful development. It also demonstrated great trust and support for China, he noted.

CIPG is ready to establish a regular mechanism of the Forum on Contemporary China and World to build a new platform for promoting the exchange of experience on Asian governance.

Over 200 guests from more than 40 countries attended the forum, including former political officials, heads of think tanks, experts, scholars, journalists, publishers, businessmen and representatives of international organizations.
